Pursuit Of Happiness

Happy
One word that leads to plenty of questions.
What is happiness?
How to be happy?
How much is happy?
Could you buy happiness?
One question to another forming a steel like chains of questions which never fails to make everyone brain storming for the answer. Which leads to another question, why you want to be happy? Why work so hard to get happiness?

A simple definition for 'happiness' is the feeling of satisfactory and delight of having certain experiences or thing that ones encounter. The big deal of happiness, is that everybody has their different way to define the word 'Happy'. Having a new pet puppy could be a very happy thing for one person but might not be the case for another. Put it simple, the measurement for happiness of an individual is set by the individual himself. And the BIGGER deal is, we humans, will never set the bar low. We tend to want more and more, ignoring what we have in front of our eyes, we set our eyes on something higher, something that we feel we would be 'happy' to have one, we tend to aim so high, endlessly wanting more and more, and the trick, comes in here.

When one gets what it desire, the person will be happy, on the other hand, if one dun't get what they desire, the opposite of happiness comes, sadness, despair, depress and so on so on, so much to describe that most people would want to avoid it as much as possible. Oh but wait.. How to you avoid something, made of your own? If you dun desire so much, if you could just simplify your life, if you could just be grateful for what you already have, if you just dun eager and ask for more, would you come to this state of depression?

Then is it wrong to have desire and dreams and to rule out things you want? Is it wrong to want something..? It then jumps to another topic...the chain of question never breaks as individual pursuit for happiness.

But i put it this way...To be happy, is to not take everything so DAMN serious, accept everything as it is, enjoy everything while you can and life can't push you hard, remember, be a friend of life, he will be nice to you too =]

Mr.E signing off, "But what is happiness except the simple harmony between a man and the life he leads?" - Albert Camus.
